Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first significant achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
